I did not expect the outpouring of kindness that you have all shown, and I spent many hours after pressing ‘post’ reading through your messages. It was my intention to reply to each and every one of you individually, but I soon was overwhelmed and had IG limiting my ability to reply. Please know that I cannot possibly thank you enough for your support and that I wish I could. I’m still going through the messages and trying because I know what it means to feel for a “stranger” on the internet. In a lot of ways, we aren’t really strangers, are we? I’ve always felt that the internet has a funny way of connecting us; I’ve cried tears of joy and felt utter devastation when scrolling through this app and reading posts from women I’ve never met in person. At times I’ve felt their good news and their losses as though they were my own. And the amount of you that have been in similar accidents, that shared your own stories moved me to tears more times than I can count. In truth, I’ve found real comfort in being ‘busy’ right now (whatever that means) as it provides a nice distraction.
