ジェナ・ジョンソンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ジェナ・ジョンソンInstagram)「This is my Grandfather, Carl Deardon Johnson. . ▪️He enlisted in US Navy after Pearl Harbor where he trained as an Electrician’s Mate ▪️Served on a Mine Sweep in the Mediterranean and then on a Destroyer in the Pacific. ▪️Survived the Mine Sweep being sunk by treading water most of the night until rescued the next morning by another US ship. ▪️Also survived a kamikaze attack on the Destroyer in the Pacific. (Lost his best friend and shipmate during that attack) . He is the true definition of a HERO and I am forever grateful for his memory and service. Happy Veterans Day to all!!
