I knew it was a looooong shot to repeat last time’s performance, but I’m still unbelievably happy with a Quarterfinal finish this time around!!! 😅💪🏓🔥 To summarize briefly, I lost 2-4 against Margaryta Pesotska (WR #38) and won 4-2 against Adriana Diaz (WR #19) and 4-3 against Mo Zhang (WR #34) in the groups. Luck was on my side and I advanced on top of the group due to an extremely close three-way tie that came down to just a few narrow points between Pesotska, Diaz, and me. In the Round of 16, I faced Feng Tianwei (WR #8) and won 4-2!!! I eventually lost in the quarters to Chen Meng (WR#1), the newly crowned Women’s World Cup Champion. I really didn’t expect to be able to travel anywhere this year, let alone play in a World Cup during a global pandemic. Thank you to @ittfworld and CTTA for organizing this on such short notice while dealing with so many logistics and regulations.
