When I last worked in Vancouver in 2015, my hair person on set was Jenine Lehfeldt. Jenine’s TALENT for hair was so undeniable (her work above) and I always felt like she was more of a hair ARTIST than just someone who did hair. She was also a SWEETHEART and we became instant friends. Y’all, sweet Jenine had a freak electrocution accident with a hair iron that affected her hand mobility and, as a result, ended her career as she could no longer do hair on set. She was devastated, depressed, and grief stricken. In her darkness, the light that reached her was a yoga class, she kept practicing and tells me it was the gift that saved her. She told me she made a vow to offer that gift to others and about 2 years ago she opened her own sweet yoga studio, @sweetserenityyoga . Now, you may have heard of this lil’ thing called Covid. Jenine has fought REALLY hard to keep her studio afloat, but Vancouver Covid closures are shutting down studios again. So I want to help my friend. She has just started offering classes online to stream. Even if you don’t do yoga, paying for a class could be the difference in helping this wonderful person and the studio she created stay afloat.
