PS: I forgot that I’d flubbed the story a bit as I was actually around 6 when we moved in and my brother was about 2- I think I was just nervous and speaking too fast (as I am wont to do). I remember now weirdly cringing back stage about getting that out wrong which stayed with me for quite awhile because I’m a perfectionist so it’s funny to hear it back now and see what a non-issue it is. I’m glad that I accept how earnest and dorky I can be more. It’s so unnecessary how tough I’ve been on myself in the past (and honestly still too much now). Thank goodness for meditation and this renaissance of prioritizing mental health that is so much more of a cultural norm now. Deep breaths...
