This past week and a few days have been filled with family, grief and a celebration of her beautiful long 88 years life. We watched together as a family, as Manou peacefully passed in the arms of her loving husband of 68 years. Anyone who knows me, knows that there’s no bigger dream of mine than a lifelong love with your best friend. This has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I always wondered why and this week I can’t help but think that it’s because their love has been a leading example and a silent reminder each and every day. Manou, you are so missed here but I promise that the love, strength, lessons, and joy that you taught us so effortlessly and beautifully will forever remain. I look forward to telling your stories, and I promise to ALWAYS root for true love to win. Thank you for all that you have taught me, some lessons that I’m just now discovering like little hidden messages in a bottle that have shown up for me all week. Our life here is precious, and you sure did live every moment fiercely. This time especially may we all love one another and always remind each other what truly matters. I have learned and seen so much in these last few days.
