That means that this year, millions of Americans decided that THEY. MATTERED. That their VOICES. MATTERED. Particularly, young people of color. Do you know how incredible that is?! This teaches us that even in the darkest of times, when you feel depleted of any motivation,... no matter how hard, you just keep going. Because change. will. happen. To all the poll workers, volunteers, grassroots organizers, campaign workers, who started this fight and will continue to fight, long after the celebrations die down... you are the real fucking heroes. To EVERYONE who had those long hard conversations with people in your lives who you disagreed with, whether they were your parents or friends or spouses, those conversations make a huge difference.
