Has anyone else woken up this week with pit of anxiety in their stomach? As England begins another lockdown and the US grapple with a deeply divided election the world feels dark and fractured.

Everyday feels like a battle to remain positive, to believe in the best of humanity. To find hope. To find light. Sometimes it feels like everything is spiralling out of control and all we can do it watch.

But with collapse comes reorganisation. With dark comes light. Perhaps this year is the rude awakening we all needed. Things are tough yes, but that is only another reason to fight.

This is not the time to feel defeated but to rally yourself. To arm yourself with knowledge, to band together and organise, to inspire one another. We have a lot of work to do and together we are stronger.

I have so much faith in our generation to set things right. Enough of this bullshit.

Fuck Trump.
Fuck racism.
Fuck shame.
Fuck hatred.
Fuck fear.

This year has been testing but we are here in love and compassion and that is so much more powerful.

@cfigueres talks about the need for stubborn optimism and today that phrase has never felt more needed. I won’t give up if you don’t.
