The biggest factor for me was the discovery of asymptotic carriers. This phenomenon isn’t new! Typhoid Mary is famous! So, the question of wearing a mask is a no-brainer. It helps. It’s respectful of your fellow human. I’ve been outdoors without my mask if I’m far from another human. I’ll admit that. It’s about protecting each other.   Now, the middle-ground would be just to have educated everyone immediately on this. Really, get us all to understand right away that it’s the right thing to do. That would’ve been amazing. It was not an option because the president only ridiculed people for taking it seriously, contradicted himself over whether it was distinctly more communicative and deadly than the flu, or whether we’d all just look dumb wearing masks.   So with people having to figure it out for themselves and choosing to gather in large crowds, too close and with uncovered faces, the ensuring COVID flare-ups in those communities tell us that yeah, as an action to nip the current dangerous situation in the bud, masks should be mandated. And education should be simultaneously clarified and expanded. We’re long past our chance to nip it in the bud but to make a long story short, let’s end it as quickly as we can.   #Vote. The worst you can think about him is that you may not agree with the ways he’ll try to solve the problems facing this country, and therein you have acknowledgedthat he’d try.
