It’s really just for fun, but hopefully as it builds it will become a useful resource for the mildly curious and the serious collector alike. Once we have enough items to warrant it, we will create The Daily Bowie Thing album on the BOWIE KOOKS Facebook page. One of the less obvious areas of Bowie collecting is sheet music, particularly sheet music for his single releases. Though not really produced for some time now, the run of Bowie single sheet music runs from his first release of Liza Jane in 1964 (released as Davie Jones with The King-Bees), right through to Jump They Say in 1993. We haven’t found evidence of single sheet music being produced after that 29 year period, but with global variations, you may know differently. Today’s item is the 1981 UK 4-page sheet for Wild Is The Wind (Music by Dimitri Tiomkin - Lyrics by Ned Washington). Originally appearing on the Bowie/Maslin produced 1976 Station To Station album, Wild Is The Wind was released as both a 7" and 12" in 1981 to promote the ChangesTwoBowie compilation. Not the easiest example of Bowie sheet music to find these days, but certainly considerably easier than aforementioned King-Bees rarity. Come back tomorrow for another Daily Bowie Thing. #DailyBowieThing #BowieSheetMusic」11月2日 1時59分 - the_real_iman

“Love me, love me, love me, love me say you do…”

As promised last week, today is the start of the Daily Bowie Thing post.
