Seeing all of these faces gave me lots of hope today... Lauren and I connected through some artwork that the Biden campaign commissioned from an artist named Rick Fleming (check out his tote bag in the Biden shop - it’s 🔥). Lauren was the person who connected Rick with the Biden campaign and had reached out to share how excited she was seeing his work getting the appreciation it deserves. She and my new friend Yara have been busy getting the vote out in Michigan, specifically in the Flint metro area. All of this led to a zoom call with folks on the ground... We talked about some of the issues at hand and the tools available to better and more effectively enlist your friends, family, and community in signing up and committing to vote (you can still register in several states, including Michigan!). THESE LADIES ARE AMAZINGGGGGG. Thank you Lauren, Yara, and all the folks volunteering your time and teaching us all how to participate more actionably in our democracy.
