This is a short film called THE PURGED follows investigative journalist Greg Palast’s uncovering of thousands of black, brown and young voters having been PURGED (erased) from the polls in 2016. He informed Stacy Abrams, candidate for Governor of #Georgia of the voter suppression effort by Kemp (the Secretary of State and Abram’s opponent). The excuse for the actions is to “clean the polls” of names of people who have moved or died. In the film you meet MLK Jr.’s 92-year old cousin, Christine Jordan, who has lived in the same house for 50 years and has voted at the same polling place for 50 years and she was purged and couldn’t vote.

Thanks to his tireless work over 20 years, the Purged Lists were uncovered.
