One was for sunny Los Angeles - which became the city of choice for both - the other one was, of course, a passion for female nudity. For the October Issue, we asked Vogue Italia friend Berlin actress @VickyKrieps, to pose in one of #HelmutNewton most familiar locations, the Tiergarten, wearing a sensuous “No Bra All In One” bodysuit launched by Rudy Gernreich in 1965 and recently put back on the market by @RudiGernreich, the homonymous brand. With Thong, the Monokini, and other daring futuristic swimsuits, Gernreich, credited as the "liberator of the female body", was the first to propose at the turn of the '60s and '70s the partial nude at the pool, making him - like Newton - an interpreter of the need for women's emancipation in those years.
