The roadway is an incredible visual carved out of the rock face from the engineering minds of yesterday. For over an hour, I watched as colors bloomed and the composition unfolded from the darkness, but the scene was missing some atmosphere to really complete my vision. Much to my surprise when I looked up the river, a single low cloud was heading down the valley and it was shaping up to be the perfect addition to my frame. Just as the cloud slammed into the side of the mountain, I pressed my shutter button to make this shot. I have learned so much in this short time as a photographer, patience being one of the greatest takeaways. It's been a pleasure to share my story with you!
