Designing any braking system for a supercar is an incredibly demanding process. There’s teams in charge of making you go fast and there’s teams that are in charge of making you stop just as quickly.

For this weeks’ McLaren tech club, we wanted to really look at what it takes to bring a supercar to a stop, by exploring the braking systems in the new McLaren 765LT.

This is the first of multiple Tech Clubs on the science behind brakes, with Lewis Holliday, Brake Systems Project Engineer, explaining just how you keep a brake system cool.
