Photo by @Tim Laman. A male Rufous-necked Hornbill perches above the nest cavity where the female waits for him to deliver food. Female hornbills stay inside their tree cavity the entire time they are incubating the egg and raising the chick. Usually several months. They are entirely dependent on the male for food.
