Our brand spanking new mixing desk is now up and running and sounding epic! Completely home-made and all due to the hard work and geekery of Lewis 🤓 Here's a few words on how he made it: I designed and built this recording console from scratch over the last four years or so. The process began with many drawings and circuit designs and then prototype modules which were meticulously and rigorously tested for quality of performance. I wanted all the flexibility of a modern console but with the clear, open and direct sound of hard wired valve equipment. Each of the twenty four channels utilize inductor based passive equalizers and the amplifying circuits throughout are valve. Some other features of the console include auxiliary sends, monitor sends, grouping buses, mute/solo logic, a fully comprehensive monitoring system and more. This console now allows us to take our musical recording and production techniques into new and unique realms.
