Their project on display is titled “Cuentos Naufragos (in English, Shipwrecked Poems). Cuentos Naufragos are photographic poems from Cuba. The series is a chapter of "MUNDO POR ADELANTE - el futuro no es nuestro; cuentos en varios angustias y quizás algunos esperanzas" (WORLD AHEAD - the future is not ours; tales of fears and perhaps some hopes) that contains video, installations, photography and objects. It deals with worlds which seem to have lost their (natural) balance. About the artists - Kirstin Schmitt & Juan Aristides Otamendiz are based in Berlin and Old Havanna and they realize solo and two artists projects. Their award winning works have been exhibited at museums, art fairs & festivals (Louvre Museum, Art Basel Miami-Scoop art show, Somerset house London, Shanghai International Film Festival, Dok-Leipzig, SIPF-Singapore international photo festival, Addis Foto Festival, Museum of World Cultures Frankfurt etc.).
