The team @ablezine have been working to produce the ‘Accessible Anti-Racism Resources Archive’! The archive, now ready to share, is available to access via our Linktree and under the ‘Links’ area of our website where you can read our most recent newsletter. Designed to be an evolving document, we invite you to help us grow and shape it into an expansive and considerate resource that prioritises accessible learning, intersectionality and which hopes to act as a database for Black and racialised communities to access support networks specific to their needs. We will continue to update it on a regular basis. Please email contact@ablezine.com if you have any recommendations or encounter any access issues and we’ll do our best to provide a resolution. . . . . . The archive is arranged to address access requirements related to disability, financial means, as well as time, ease of learning and children’s resources. Split into three sections, part one is an introduction to the document with instructions on how to use it. Part two is organised by access requirements such as for the Blind/Partially-Sighted, d/Deaf, Hard of Hearing and a collection of Easy-Read websites and PDFs. Part 3 contains a wider database of topics surrounding racism, healthcare, disability and community, divided by genre and format, to further engage with anti-racism in practice or to find resources more specific to your interests. Examples include Mental Health, Healing, Midwifery/Pregnancy, Accessible Protesting/Campaigning and Social Media. This list of resources has been compiled by non-Black disabled volunteers with community in mind. However, complete credit goes to the many Black and racially marginalised educators, authors and thinkers shared throughout, whose efforts span over decades, and those that are currently spearheading the Black Lives Matter movement globally. We strongly encourage you to support them by investing in their online stores, fundraisers and patreons! . . . We hope you consider sharing and supporting us in improving this document!
