One of my favorite trips ever 🖤
Day Two New England itinerary...
🚗 Drive one hour to Salem
📖 House of Seven Gables - inspired Nathaniel Hawthornes novel. Just the gardens were open
⛓ Salem Witch Dungeon - performed a play to explain the Witch hysteria and trials of 1692, then took us in a recreated dungeon.
🧙🏻Witch House - only authentic building in Salem associated with the Witch Trials.
🧹Salem Witch Museum - a creepy Stations of the Cross

🚗 30 minutes to Lexington/concord
Things to Do:
🍁 Lexington Green - the first shots of the Revolutionary War were shot here and there is the most picturesque white church on the edge of the square. There is also a flag that flies 24/7 as a tribute to the beginning of our country.
🌳 Minute Man National Historic Park- walk this trail to see stops along the way telling the story of the night of Paul Reveres ride, including his capture point
📚 Orchard House - Louisa May Alcott family home. There is a Little Women garden and the original school on property that Mr. Alcott started
🍂 North Bridge - when American soldiers fired back on the British, this was the “shot heard round the world” and started the war
✍️Sleepy Hollow Cemetery - Four famous writers are buried here in Authors Ridge: Louisa May Alcott, Henry David Thoreau, Nathaniel Hawthorne & Ralph Waldo Emerson
🍁 Walden pond - beautiful 2 mile hike around the famous pond. You can find the foundation of Thoreau’s cabin where he wrote Walden Pond
🍨 Bedford Farms ice cream - best ice cream ever
🍝 Fiorella’s Italian - all around excellent
☕️Town meeting bistro - this was my favorite meal of the entire trip. We did Sunday brunch and the atmosphere, service and food was superior.

🚗 30 mins to Boston
⛲️ Boston Gardens - beautiful park, next to Boston Commons
🍺 Cheers Bar - the bar that inspired Cheer. Must drink beer.
🐴 Freedom Trail - a trail that is actually embedded in the streets of Boston. Follow it for 2.5 miles to see important landmarks from the Revolution, including the North Church.
👩🏻‍🎓 Harvard tour - considering Clara has plans to attend Harvard, we hired a guide to show us around the famous campus. She loved every minute of it. 💗
