Remembering Punky Reggae Ari Up who left us too soon back in October 2010.
Together with Palmolive she founded the SLITS . The Slits were one of the foremost punk bands from 1976 to 1981 and were touring with The Clash in the early years.With the end of the Slits Ari moved with her family to Indonesia, Belize and Jamaica. She Continued the songwriting , collaborating with the likes of Lee Scratch Perry, until her untimely death from breast cancer in 2010.
