When 19-year-old Sebabatso suspected she had #COVID19 in South Africa, she walked to the local clinic, where she found a pregnant woman waiting alone in the punishing heat.
The woman had come for a prenatal visit. “But the nurse told her it happened in the morning and she had to come back tomorrow. Imagine the time she wasted. What if she lives far and has no money for taxi fare?” This experience is what inspired Sebabatso to create an app that allows hospitals to directly communicate with patients, giving them critical information about their health care without forcing them to wait hours or even days in line. #GenerationEquality © UNICEF/UNI363386/Schermbrucker
