In October of 2018, Carl Herrick was diagnosed with stage IV multiple myeloma cancer. He spent the next year receiving treatment at the Tom and Gayle Benson Cancer Center at @ochsnerhealth.

We honored Carl as Ochsner Hero for Week 5 of the season, and he was surprised with a virtual visit from Drew Brees!
