Happy anniversary: Artek turns 85 today! In 1935 Alvar and Aino Aalto, Maire Gullichsen and Nils-Gustav Hahl founded Artek in order “to sell furniture and to promote a modern culture of living by exhibitions and other educational means.” That vision still underlies what we do, even many decades later.
