Well- I don’t need to tell you that the times have changed- but the need is greater than EVER- especially because the most vulnerable in our communities are often the first ones to feel the impact of challenging times. So! TODAY! I’m matching donations for the next 24 hours for @upliftfamily ‘s Hollygrove Programs in Los Angeles- which provides life-changing mental health services for kids and workshops and support for families and caretakers whose kids who need specialized attention due to emotional and behavioral issues. I’ve supported Hollygrove for a decade now- both by attending the yearly fundraiser (see slide 1 for some of the pretty dresses) and also have had the pleasure of physically volunteering at Hollygrove with the kids and families. I know first hand the impact this program has on the lives of the kids and families because I’ve seen it. This past weekend many people on here posted about #worldmentalhealthday - you know I’m all for the destigmatization of mental health and illness but it shouldn’t be reserved only for those who can afford to pay for it!!! Programs like Hollygrove are funded through the generosity of people like YOU who understand that and want to make a difference.
