BEHIND THE BRAND 🧵 In the next installment of Bergdorf Goodman’s Behind The Brand series, where we explore and showcase the various individuals, craftsmen, and talent behind our beloved brands; #BGRadar alum @ceciliebahnsen shares a closer look at the fabrics, embroidery, and color palettes that make the brand so unique. “Our precious Lily Matelassé fabric is one of my favorite from our Fall 2020 collection and it gave a newness to the collection as I introduced lurex yarn for the first time. The fabric is inspired from the Windrose Matelassé as this lavish and textured quality is another classic matelassé technique, used in many ways throughout the different styles: patchworked, upside down, frayed, or in a more traditional straightforward use. Silver nonetheless, major and noticeable highlight of this season, as well as new color to my palette. Delicate lace-like features and lightweight, the quality remains evanescent even in its dark shade. Used throughout the collection, the Cloudberry Jacquard is one of the qualities used for the Mackintosh collaboration.” #BGBehindTheBrand
