USA Gymnastics can confirm that American athletes will take part in the Friendship and Solidarity Competition, a Nov. 8 friendly competition in Tokyo, Japan with gymnasts from Russia, China, and host-country Japan. All participants will follow strict medical guidelines based on those that were approved in September by the International Gymnastics Federation’s Executive Committee and reviewed by the USA Gymnastics medical staff. Safety protocols, such as regular COVID-19 testing and private travel and lodging accommodations, are intended to create a “bubble” atmosphere for the event. Athlete selection for this one-day competition was based on interest from men’s and women’s artistic National Team members. The U.S. delegation will consist of: Paul Juda, Yul Moldauer, and Shane Wiskus for the men and Sophia Butler, eMjae Frazier, and Shilese Jones for the women
