サラ・ハドソンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (サラ・ハドソンInstagram)「PART 2 🎬 So before i got dropped, while i was living in NYC getting ready to promote “Naked Truth”, my then label put a band together for me & my keyboard player was a cute guy from Jersey named Sami. Sami & i bonded over music, dancing & so much more-long story short we started dating in 2005 (& yes he’s still my man 🥰). After that phone call of the news of getting dropped, i barely let anytime go by & i had such a FUCK YOU attitude to the industry, labels & ANYONE who said no to me. Sami & i started writing music in his basement in Jersey. We were inspired by Daft Punk, Peaches, Blondie & the whole Ed Bangerz scene that was happening at the time. After many months of self discovery, insane determination, a few incarnations of names/styles & both of us learning how to produce/make music on our own-we started a project called Ultraviolet Sound. We put together a show & i acted as our manager/booking agent & called ANYWHERE i could on the east coast. After months & months of lugging our equipment all over the city, we eventually rinsed out the NYC club scene & rinsed out our wallets from living/hustling there so hard, so we picked up & moved into a studio (with no shower or kitchen) in LA. In the 6 yrs that we were in UVS, we developed an incredible niche fanbase, toured the US/UK several times, had sum songs on the Billboard Dance Chart, opened for Lady Gaga, got ready in the bathroom of probably every single iconic dance club in America, put out 3 self made albums, partied hard, signed to an independent label & worked our fucking asses off! The grind got pretty gnarly, major labels paid no attention to us because imo we were WAY AHEAD OF OUR TIME & we were not only dead broke but in so much debt. Any money we made just went directly back into the band. DO OR DIE! In 2011, Sami & i went on a trip to Thailand with his family & it was so incredibly enlightening for us. When we returned to LA, we decided to stop pursuing UVS. Sami went on to start his own projects & i was a fucking feather in the wind-I’m depressed, broke, still living in the same studio & wtf am i gonna do now?
