These pieces are magnified versions of a technique called darning. When the threads of a woven fabric become worn or broken, you can mend the area by running stitches in perpendicular directions, weaving them as you go. Covid-19 has highlighted the great need for a mending of culture, policy and being a compassionate human. It’s a long and laborious process towards repairing and healing. Progress is continuous and a finihsed piece doesn’t need to be fully woven 🌱 These pieces will be exhibited at @galleryc3 in Charlotte, NC from Oct 2 to Nov 29."」10月11日 2時34分
