These were things that employee Jamiee Thomson learned from fellow avionics mechanic, Yoshio ("Yosh") Nitta. ✈️⠀ ⠀ 62 years ago, Yosh joined our Hawaiian Airlines ‘ohana. His journey through the aviation industry has allowed him to gain experience from line maintenance operations, entrepreneurship and the evolution of our fleets converting to modern, computerized systems. Praised by his fellow colleagues for his attentiveness and wisdom, Yosh will truly be missed as he enters into his new season of retirement. ⠀ ⠀ At 92-years old, Yosh has graciously joined hundreds of employees who elected to retire on Oct. 1, 2020 to offset involuntary workforce reductions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
