カーリー・クロスさんのインスタグラム写真 - (カーリー・クロスInstagram)「Hi everyone! My name is Mericel (@mericel.t), and I'm taking over Karlie's Instagram today! I'm a 15 year old high school junior from San Francisco. I love staying active in all ways, including running, practicing kung fu, and playing field hockey, soccer, and lacrosse. I was a @kodewithklossy Scholar this past summer in the web development program. I am passionate about pursuing my interests at the intersection of business and technology, especially with applications in the worlds of beauty and medicine. KWK inspired me to start the first Society of Women in Engineering branch at my school! As a part of the Kode With Klossy camp, scholars across the nation participated in the @esteelauder Zen Garden Contest, a competition to design and format a landing page for the Estee Lauder website. I could hardly believe it, but my design was picked to be the winner! I'm extremely grateful to Karlie, Estee Lauder, and KWK. This competition taught me so much about front end design and technology's role in the fashion world, and I realized I had a passion for this work: communicating a business's values and representing a product through technology. I enjoyed meeting some amazing Estee Lauder women in technology through this experience, and I'd love to continue to explore future opportunities in this field! As part of the web dev camp, I collaborated with two other scholars to create The Winning Mentality, a mental health resource board for student athletes. It features powerful stories of professional athletes balancing their careers and mental health. A student athlete myself, I wanted to build a central resource for other athletes to hear their peers' stories. Participating in KWK was one of my best experiences this quarantine. Throughout the program, I was inspired to hear from inspiring women at companies I love, such as adidas and Peloton. It seems crazy, but I truly developed a love of coding during my two weeks of camp, and I know coding is the language of the future. I want to continue empowering other girls to step into the world of tech, just as Karlie and my KWK family have done for me.」10月8日 1時40分 - karliekloss
