As I said earlier, a lot of the left-wing football spiking this weekend has been tasteless and gross. But the political discourse bar in this country has dropped viciously and to blame that drop on anyone other than Trump is pretty disingenuous. Think of John Dingell, think of John Lewis, think of John McCain. Think of Trump mocking Hillary‘s pneumonia. The disabled reporter. There is a lot of ugliness in America right now, but I am reminded of a phrase I heard when Reagan was in office : “a fish rots from the head down.”
