We wrapped ourselves in a blanket and had a heart to heart in each others arms. Blown away by his thoughtfulness and also how he seems to have matured so much recently. He read me 4 chapters of a Goosebumps book (oh the nostalgia!) and we had lots of giggles. ⁣ ⁣ It got me thinking...⁣ ⁣ We aren’t guaranteed more time. As morbid as that thinking may sound, it is the truth. We just don’t know when the end comes for us. And my time is best spent in moments like today. With the excess trimmed away. Reflecting on ones own mortality, for me at least, helps realign me with what my heart longs for. It rapidly helps me find perspective. It also probably explains why I’ve been deep diving in to the “we-live-on-a-school-bus-with-4-kids-and-2-dogs” movement!! The #skoolielife calls. ⁣」10月4日 4時30分
