Back in march her health got worse and I wanted to visit but due to COVID wasn't able to. However, a couple days ago we facetime'd and I could tell her time was coming. I booked a flight right away to come even though she wasn't expected to make it through the night but she did, she made it. She passed a couple hours after we took this photo but i'm so grateful she held on long enough for me to tell her I loved her. it's hard, leaving your family to move to a new city, to start a new life. a lot of times i feel guilty for not being there enough, but i know how proud she was of me. in 2008, before i moved to LA I came and taught a hip hop class at their old folks home. my grandma learned how to tut and arm wave (3rd picture) and it was all she and her friends talked about for years🤣 she was a tough cookie and she loved us so much. her and my grandpa were married for 70 years and he's still kickin at 95, healthy as a horse, trading stocks every day and making everyone laugh. I don't share a lot of personal stuff on social media and in general i'm a pretty private person, but i know we've all been going through a lot the past 6 months.
