It’s been a long hard road to get up here. I never doubted my ability to climb the mountain because I didn’t focus on the top. I didn’t keep looking up saying ..”it’s gonna take forever to get there.” I just put one foot in front of the other and I focused on my moments. I took breaks when I needed them. I stopped along the way. I got stuck a few times and I had to look around to find an alternate route. The man made stairs were out of sight and I rushed and ended up taking a harder climb. When I looked up I was on the wrong side of the mountain. I had to retrace my steps and go back down to get to the right road. There is no map, there was only trail heads and a knowledge of the end. Hiking made me reflect on life itself. Mile markers are like spiritual signs you get that you are headed in the right direction. In life, we hit dead ends and rather than turning around we get stuck. In life we get lost, rather than turning around we sit and cry and we stay there. Appreciate your journey and reflect on where you are. Make sure your not lost or at a dead end in life. Retrace your steps and use your intuition. Sometimes it’s a good idea to look for the footprint in the sand. I turn to God a lot in life to find guidance. The unknown is amazing love don’t be scared of the beauty that life really is.
