I’m @kenyahunt - an American expat based in the UK, a mother, wife, author, editor, mentor, writer, fashion director at Grazia UK…a lot of things! And I’m honored Alexa has given me her platform today as part of the #sharethemicUK campaign. I’ve spent most of my working life in publishing in New York and London, after having spent most of my formative years in Virginia scrutinizing my mother’s fashion magazines in search of models, actresses, singers — anyone!— who was Black like me. My career spans my post-grad days at the seminal feminist magazine JANE to my years as Deputy Editor of ELLE UK. My experiences as a Black woman navigating the overwhelmingly white media and fashion industries inspired me to want to do whatever I can, wherever I am, to make sure more women of colour get in the room... @sharethemicuk #sharethemicnow
