I know climate change can feel overwhelming and daunting. It’s so easy to feel powerless in the face of everything that’s going on in the world right now. 🌍 I often come back to this quote by writer and activist Mary Heglar who says ’The thing about climate is that you can be overwhelmed by the complexity of the problem, or fall in love with the creativity of the solutions’. 💫 Climate change is the symptom of a broken system, a reminder that we are out of balance with the natural world. Personally I find hope in seeing this as a opportunity to rethink a system that works for the few and not the many. A chance to build back better, to kickstart an incredible green revolution and in the process create a ton new jobs. Tackling climate chance is an opportunity to build a fairer and more equitable society that works for both the planet and people. We have now entered the crucial decade to take action on climate, and only by working together through education, innovation and global commitment will we be able to make the vital changes needed to protect the future of life on earth.
