I wanted to share a few more shots from the perfect afternoon I had last month in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula photographing the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore from an unusually calm Lake Superior. These colors are created by minerals seeping out of the rock and staining the surface of the constantly eroding cliffs. Last shot: paddlers dwarfed by the cliffs. I’d say it’s one of our under-appreciated natural wonders. Anyone who’s been there agree?
