そのお得なチケットを使って行ける"五重塔があるお寺"のご紹介です。

浅草駅より徒歩5分の東京最古の仏教寺院である「浅草寺」。
言わずと知れた都内で最も有名なお寺の一つです。今はコロナ禍の影響でひっそりしていますが、昨今はインバウンド客を中心に多くの人が訪れていました。
浅草寺の五重塔は1973年に再建された、鉄骨・鉄筋コンクリート造りの塔です。
歴史を振り返ると、浅草寺に初めて塔が建設されたのは942年で、当時は三重塔だったそうです。また、この塔は本堂の西側ですが、当時は東側に五重塔が立っていたと言われています。その後、焼失を経て、現在の位置に五重塔が建てられました。夜になるとライトアップされ、昼間とは違う雰囲気を楽しむことができます。

Take a 5 min. walk from Asakusa Station to find Sensoji, Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple.
Needless to say, it’s also one of the city’s most famous temples. While the area is still quiet due to the pandemic, it’s known in the past for drawing huge crowds full of overseas tourists.
Sensoji’s five-story pagoda was rebuilt in 1973, primarily of steel framed reinforced concrete.
Although, if you look back in history you’ll find that it was originally built in 942 with only 3-stories. This tower was originally on the west-side of the main hall, but its said that there was once a 5-story pagoda on the east side during the Edo period. This tower was destroyed in a fire before moving to its present-day location. If you come at night you’ll find the pagoda is fully illuminated, giving it a different look from what you’d find during the day.
