Such strange times we're living in these days.As we shift and adjust with all that's happening, it's important to maintain focus of what's important. With the state of our world right now, it's important to act and do what we can to help push for positive change. An important lesson I learned this year is that having positive intentions are nice, but it is key to put those intentions into action. Those actions can be big or small, as long as you're doing what you can. It's hard to not stress out the issues we face, living in a system that devalues black lives and encourages state enforced violence against them is something that weighs heavy on my mind, but we must take it a day at a time. And that's ok, this is a marathon, not a race. Hoping everyone can do what they need to keep their mental + emotional health in check. I think the phrases in the photos are obvious, like neon signs, which was the inspiration for these. I wanted them to feel like passing thoughts, as I'm sure many of us are thinking something like this. I probably blank out several times a day thinking about these huge issues, but having to push on and live. Sometimes it feels like there's a huge glaring sign to pay attention but life continues to go on. I hope they can resonate and inspire. #blackphotographers #ddesigns #blackarchivist」9月25日 12時35分
