And life has an ugly way of taking the best too soon. We didn’t spend a lot of time together in-person, but we always spent a lot of time staying connected. My friend was a class act – so fun and a lover of life, his friends and the people around him. He loved his sport and had an unmatched passion. He changed ODI cricket. The last pic he shared with me a few days ago from India with another mate, was quintessentially Dean - handing out the mickey, giving me smack and having fun. Dean regularly sent me videos of the golf swings of his other great cricketing mates. And I gladly engaged in critiquing and passing on my thoughts. He cared! Dean my friend, RIP.
