Animals have a profound way of teaching us unconditional love and what it means to be present in an ever-moving and always-changing world. Nature, also, reminds us that stillness isn’t just okay, it’s essential. We must return to stillness and yet, like nature be reminded of impermanence lest we too deeply attach to the things we can never truly own. ~~ Babies. The precious, free, never-judgmental, innocent and true way a baby offers a smile; a child shares their light— is there anything else on earth more worthy of our admiration, love and above all, our protection? I am infinitely proud of my Baby Sis @iamrachelmccord - she and I have been to hell and back. We’ve been through our own hills and valleys (as sisters do). But this ☝️ incredible woman... she is a mother to end all mothers. 😉 She manages her pain, her exhaustion, her phobias and fears, her past traumas, her current worries and anxieties with such impeccable grace so as to never allow too much angst in the energy field of her perfect little boy. She doesn’t suppress it, but she is learning, growing and adapting in ways which allow her to truly ebb and flow with all that life has to throw at a new mom (especially during these unprecedented times) and again, I couldn’t be more proud. Rachel, to say I admire you, doesn’t quite suffice. I have hurt you. I’ve been hurt by you. We’ve hurt together and tried to heal each other when we were still learning what true healing actually is. But... when you brought this precious little man @judeschirmer into the world, every bit of those past narratives dissolved in the Light of that Perfect Love. Thank you for who you are, who you are becoming and who you are UNBECOMING to be fully free to be the beautiful mother that you are. And @rickschirmer thank you for supporting my beautiful sister as she has taken on the most important job in the entire world, that of motherhood! I love you all infinitely.
