On the left, I was eating exclusively fast food. Yes, I know I look “fine” and I would have agreed with you. But I didn’t *feel* fine. I had really bad digestive + GI issues and felt sluggish non-stop. I thought these things were normal 🤷‍♀️ until I realized... they’re not. . I started my fitness journey first and foremost to heal my body from the inside, out. Any physical change was just the cherry on top.  I won’t say I didn’t care about the physical changes at all, but instead of wanting to be “skinny” I wanted to be STRONG and seeing that strength + all my hard work in the gym (and with my nutrition) come to life via my physical body, was so exciting and empowering!! . I never thought this type of physical change was possible. I chalked up anyone who was fit to their genetics, or to their extreme lifestyle + that they *MUST* have lived in the gym. I didn’t know that while yes, genetics play a part, your daily habits play a larger part. The photo on the right, I was eating 80/20 and working out 4x a week for 1 hr and eventually transitioned to 6x a week for 30 mins (FBG!! 😁) That’s it! . I never thought I could be “that person” who created a lifestyle surrounding fitness. I never wanted to be, honestly. But I needed to change the path my health was heading down, and I eventually fell in love with the journey. I fell in love with feeling actually energized for once!! I fell in love with feeling STRONG. . This is exactly why I created my FBG guides + eventually, the @fitbodyapp. I knew firsthand just how hard it is to get started AND to stay on track. I wanted to be sure that none of you girls ever had to struggle with figuring out what workouts to do or what meals to eat in order to get the most out of your time and effort. . As I’m starting my journey again from scratch, I’m reminded of how hard it is. How discouraging it is to feel so weak. But this journey is largely a mental one, much more than a physical one.
