An Idaho woman, who agreed to serve as a surrogate for a couple, had an unexpected change of plans when the pandemic left her taking care of the baby for now close to half a year. Two months before Emily Chrislip was scheduled to give birth, traveling was put on halt preventing her and her husband from handing off the baby girl to her new parents, who currently live in China. "We thought it would be a max four weeks, and then it kept getting longer and longer," Emily, 25, tells PEOPLE. "At this point, we've just accepted that we don't know... but we wouldn't have it any other way. She is so loved and right now, we are the constant in her life." Although it's been bittersweet knowing they'll eventually have to give her away one day, the couple is doing everything they can to give her the "proper attention and love" she deserves. 💕 Tap the link in bio for the full story. 📷: Breana Thomas Photography/Courtesy of the Chrislip family
