And when @hm opened their first store a whole new fashion world opened up to me. So much so that I couldn't wait to turn 16 and start working there myself. Which I did for 2 years while sleeping at my uncle's every weekend and schlepping all my outfits plus homework because the bus from Schoonhoven to Rotterdam didn't start early enough for my shifts. 16 yo Meryem would have loved to see someone like her back then doing campaigns for big brands and being featured in magazines. Sharing my story and taking pics of my mum on my balcony is what got us here and is also probably the most rebellious thing I've ever done in my life. To start doing things regardless of my fear brought me so much and living outside my comfort zone has been the best decision ever (minus the anxiety and diarrhea lol) I'm truly so proud of us for doing what we do and staying true to ourselves.
