The 87-year-old was a role model for many young people and was a strong advocate for equality for all and women’s rights. She was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1993 by then-President Bill Clinton and fought mercilessly for immigrant rights, reproductive rights, same-sex marriage, healthcare and more.
