Rest in power Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg 💔✊🏼 As i was stuck in bed last Saturday with horrific cramping having just had the coil fitted, it is perhaps no coincidence that the documentary i switched on to distract myself from the pain was about the woman who has dedicated her whole life to fighting for other women, championing gender equality, breaking through glass ceilings, again and again and again — while famously never taking a day off, including while she fought cancer. Except if you count when she dozes off during an address (sleeping through the bullshit😂). Her colleague Justice Scalia joked that catching some shuteye during that speech was “the first intelligent thing you've done.” If you've ever believed that people can disagree passionately about politics and still respect and care for each other, their friendship was a comfort and an inspiration. The same words can be applied to all of her work. Her passing has hit me hard somewhere deep inside. There are no words to express the gratitude I feel for the brilliantly clever and utterly fearless notorious RBG. Her presence on the bench will be missed not only in the US but around the world. Vote wisely, America, with your head and your heart, but above all please #VOTE.
