In the short time I had the absolute the gift of working with her, I learned so much. She inspired and lifted me up and reminded me of my worth. It’s what she does so naturally with any and all women in her orbit. I used to be so scared and uncomfortable in my skin. I was someone who judged women who were free and lacked inhibition. It was something I didn’t understand and something I envied deeply. Women who were considered a ‘wild card’ because I grew up being embarrassed of my mother who was, in fact, a wild card. I was too focused on wishing she were like everyone else’s moms to see how lucky I was to have a mother that was a free spirit who didn’t care what anyone thought of her. She was free and fun and full of joy and excitement no matter the circumstance. She was a survivor. Now, some of my favorite women in the world are my wild cards. We should all aspire to be our most wildest card. One who lives life to the fullest, loves everyone around her as fully as she possibly can with every ounce of love her heart can give. With that comes a big risk of many heartbreaks throughout her life but oh the stories she will tell...
