Considering how much I love, love, love sweet, yeasted dough dumplings, it is very, very, very odd I only now visitied @happiesberlin. Everything's handmade, freshly steamed and so it's perfectly fluffy with the right hint of yeast flavour. This is the classic Germknödel filled with plum sauce, covered in brown butter and poppy seeds. It speaks to all my favourite childhood memories, makes me feel all fuzzy and warm inside. And it comes with a tiny baby knödel, in honor of the owner's newly arrived baby nephew.
