Today, as we mark Battle of Britain Day, there are still RAF veterans, and their partners, who might be in urgent need of support but have fallen off the radar. I feel a great bond with the RAF. My Dad flew in Mosquitoes and Beaufighters - not Spitfires - but the commitment and the courage were the same. Let us never forget these brave men and women - our debt can never be repaid. 💥💥💥💥And - thanks for reminding me - we remember with respect all the Poles and Czechs and young Commonwealth men and women who fought alongside our Grandparents - for the freedom we enjoy today. I’m also grateful to the European Union and all who worked so hard within it to make sure we British have enjoyed peace in Europe for 75 years. I’m very sad we are tearing up our ties with Europe. To me, it’s a betrayal - the result of ignorance about how our world was created. But there are so many things about the way we are now governed which I feel are desperately wrong.
